Southern at Heart

For seventy beautiful years, Jackie has shared her heart through faith, family, laughter, and a home where everyone feels welcome.

Born and raised in Lucedale, Mississippi, Jackie is the beloved daughter of Minnie Hill. She has built a life rooted in God's love, Southern hospitality, and a deep commitment to serving others.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jackie is known for bringing people together around the table, preparing delicious meals, offering heartfelt prayers, and making everyone who walks through her door feel like family.

Whether she's seasoning a pot of gumbo, sharing a story that leaves everyone laughing, or encouraging someone with a word of faith, Jackie has spent a lifetime loving people well.

Her greatest legacy isn't simply the years she's lived—it's the countless lives she's touched along the way.

Did You Know?

A Rare Honor

Newspaper clipping honoring young Jackie for christening Pontoon Number Five

As a ninth-grade student at George County High School, Jackie, the daughter of Minnie Hill & Rev. H. C. Hill, was selected to christen Pontoon Number Five for Litton Ship Systems' giant launch platform — a rare honor celebrated throughout her community and featured in the local newspaper.

Chosen from among the children of Ingalls Shipyard employees, Jackie participated in the official christening ceremony and received a commemorative gold watch in recognition of this remarkable achievement.

Even at a young age, Jackie demonstrated the grace, confidence, and quiet strength that have continued to define her life.

"The waters she christened long ago still ripple through her story today."
